First off let me say thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your interest and support of the band that we call The Tiptons.
I wanted to start this blog off right in the most enlightening and meaningful way possible. A tribute
For those of you who aren't aware, we lost our father in October. Dale Tipton, the man who taught us how to sing and be a professional on and off stage. He passed down things that his dad had taught him, and his dad before, and so on.
The logo itself in a huge way is a tribute to my dad. The things that he held most true lay proudly on that logo. Family. Harmony. Tradition.
We grew up with dad singing in quartets, such as the Disciples, Masters vessels, and others.
His smooth bass voice still rings in my ear as I type, and yet he could turn around and sing the tenor part back to me to show me what I had done wrong. Only to stop and sing the baritone part to show my brother. He was truly an amazing voice that I wish each of you could have sat and enjoyed.
I won't keep this going for forever, my point was this..........
Dad was our mentor in music, our father, what we drives to be as a singer, The Tiptons biggest fan, and most of all one of my very best friends.
Everything we do, including dedicating "go for a ride" to him on stage. Serves a purpose to honor what he started and hopefully we can keep going and pass down to our kids and beyond.
I love you Dad, and will miss you more each day, till I sing with you again at the huge Tipton reunion in the sky.
